Environmental / Protection CDS Group Argungu Zone

The environmental CDs group of Argungu local government with motto: Hygiene is our Pride carried out a sensitization in NYSC Zonal office/federal secretariat recently.

The sensitization was geared towards promoting cleanliness of community on set of actions geared towards improving the quality of the environment and reducing the rate of disease occurrence. The sensitization commenced at exactly 6:30am with physical demonstration, followed by talk delivered by Nwakamma jeremiah (KB/15A/0466) on the environment, how corp members can be a part of cleanliness and the rewards of maintaining a clean habit. He encouraged all to be models for others to emulate by imbibing the culture of cleanliness. This exercise was appreciated by the Zonal inspector, Mal. Ashiru Musa Usman and the Vice president appreciated all corps member for patiently listening and maintaining proper decorum during the talk. Finally the sensitization ended at about 12:30 p.m. In a similar vein,  the Environmental/Protection CDs group took bold step of providing nose mask for all corp members in the zone.

Their aim, according to Abolade Semiu Adewale (KB/15A/0608) was to help all appreciate the hazy nature of the environment and equip them with protective gear as the direct effect of the environment to man’s health is their paramount concern. To this gesture, all CDs group leaders applauded this gesture and commended them for their fine initiative. The Corp Liaison Officer (CLO) Timothy Kwasi, while speaking to the group leader, appreciated them all for their efforts, saying that it was noteworthy of all.he encouraged them to try same within their host community.
